Shakespeare’s R & J is presented by special arrangement with Dramatists Play Service, Inc, New York.
A vibrant, hot-blooded new adaptation of Romeo and Juiliet that pulsates with an adolescent abandon and electricity of which Romeo himself might approve. Set in the world of a repressed Catholic school, 4 boys discover Shakespeare’s incredible love story. What starts off as an introductory reading of the text becomes an impassioned and honest performance of the piece without the restrictions of gender, race, or sexuality. With no set, no costume changes and no props THE JOURNEYMEN bring the essence of this classic play vividly alive with the sheer theatricality of this timeless story.
